Visionstate Corp. has released WANDA QuickTouch to the market, a product derived from its WANDA IoT-based software. The IoT button is designed to enhance Visionstate’s WANDA software, a 15-inch touchscreen device that helps businesses improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs and elevate customer satisfaction by tracking and monitoring guest activities and requests within a building’s washroom or other facilities.
Originated with efficiency in mind, WANDA QuickTouch is a battery-powered button device that leverages the LTE-M cellular network, reducing infrastructure requirements and expanding WANDA’s reach. The IoT button also provides the ability to connect remote restrooms to the WANDA software solution by enabling basic alerts, cleanings and ratings in any area of a facility.
Facilities maintenance operators are deploying the technology, which allows crews to monitor and manage the look and feel of public areas, in restrooms and lounges, airports, hospitals, office buildings, and other communal areas.
An Overview of WANDA QuickTouch
WANDA QuickTouch is a solution for remote restrooms that may not require a full WANDA system. The device automatically connects to the facilities’ LTE-M networks. This removes the need for facility managers to invest in infrastructure and connectivity and makes deployment easier and cost efficient.
WANDA QuickTouch offers the ability to send alerts with a simple push of a button. This initiates an alert to management of an issue in a specific area or restroom, as well as the time the alert was issued. By mobilizing cleaning staff to engage the QuickTouch button after addressing an alert, facility managers can track the number of alerts in a specific location, their frequency, as well as times or dates the alerts are occurring.
Reporting and Analytics
Heat maps in the WANDA analytics dashboard show concentrations of alerts for when they occur most often, providing managers the capacity to plan staffing levels accordingly. The QuickTouch IoT button can also record regular or special cleanings, and measures the difference in time between when an alert was issued and when it was addressed, providing insight on employee accountability and responsiveness.
User-Friendly
WANDA QuickTouch can be used in 4 easy steps.
- Customer or tenant sends service alert by pressing button on WANDA QuickTouch IoT device.
- Alert notification is sent by text or email to pre assigned personnel with time, date and location of the alert.
- Staff attend area where alert was issued and press button sequence to indicate the issue was addressed.
- Staff may also use WANDA QuickTouch to record regular visits or cleaning activities at the location of the IoT button.
Advantages
WANDA QuickTouch is affordable and easy to install and there are no upfront costs on hardware. The IoT button replaces antiquated paper signage with a solution supported by data. The button also integrates with WANDA for a complete facility management solution.
Visionstate’s recent development of WANDA QuickTouch and the new WANDA Mobile App is streamlining facilities maintenance even further. As the future continues to head toward IoT and smart devices, WANDA QuickTouch is a unique instrument that helps digitize washrooms and ensures a sanitary and cost-efficient restroom for everyone who walks through the doors.
